Rooffur is designed to help Pet Parents and pet lovers connect while collecting as little personal information as reasonably necessary. Rooffur currently does not require users to create an account, and much of the community interaction takes place through third-party services such as WhatsApp.

When you visit the Rooffur website, basic technical information may be processed by Rooffur's hosting, security or analytics providers. This may include information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referral source and approximate location derived from technical information. Rooffur may use this information to maintain the website, understand how the website is used, improve the experience, prevent misuse and protect the security of the service.

If you contact Rooffur directly, report another member or raise a safety concern, Rooffur may receive information such as your name, email address, phone number, the content of your message, information about the member involved and any screenshots, photographs or other evidence that you choose to provide. Rooffur may retain this information where reasonably necessary to respond to the issue, investigate a complaint, protect users or animals, prevent abuse or comply with legal requirements.

If you join a Rooffur community through WhatsApp, information available to Rooffur administrators or other community participants will depend on WhatsApp's functionality and your WhatsApp privacy settings. This may include your display name, profile information, phone number, messages and media that you choose to share. WhatsApp is operated independently from Rooffur, and information processed by WhatsApp is subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy practices.

Rooffur encourages users not to publish sensitive personal information in public or community conversations. Users should avoid publicly sharing full residential addresses, government identification documents, banking information, card details, passwords, OTPs, private medical records or personal information relating to children. Sensitive details should only be shared privately when genuinely required and only with a person you have decided to trust.

Rooffur does not sell users' personal information to advertisers or data brokers. Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate Rooffur, such as website hosting providers, email providers, security providers, analytics services if enabled, professional advisers or other infrastructure providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or where Rooffur reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to respond to a serious safety concern or protect a person or animal.

Rooffur aims to retain personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Information connected to routine enquiries may be deleted once it is no longer needed, while information connected to serious safety reports, fraud or disputes may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary for investigation, prevention of future harm or legal purposes.

Rooffur takes reasonable measures to protect information under its control, but no website, communication platform or information system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their own accounts on third-party services and should never provide passwords or OTPs to another Rooffur member.

Rooffur strongly encourages Pet Parents and Hosts to communicate openly and arrange a Meet & Greet before agreeing to care. Users should discuss the pet's temperament, routine, medical requirements, food, medication, other animals, household environment and expectations before proceeding. Neither a Rooffur introduction nor membership in the Rooffur community should be treated as a guarantee that another person is suitable to care for a pet.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Rooffur does not perform criminal background checks, police verification, home inspections or professional certification of community members. Users are responsible for carrying out whatever checks they consider appropriate and deciding whether they are comfortable proceeding.

If something feels unsafe or inappropriate, users should stop the interaction and should not proceed simply because an introduction occurred through Rooffur. Serious concerns such as animal mistreatment, fraud, harassment, threats or dangerous behaviour should be reported to Rooffur at nischalsrinivas011@gmail.com/ ranjithagowda1024@gmail.com. Where there is an immediate threat to a person or animal, users should contact the appropriate emergency services, police, veterinarian or other competent authority.
