Welcome to Rooffur. Rooffur is a community and discovery platform designed to help Pet Parents connect with individuals who may be interested in caring for pets (“Hosts”). Rooffur currently facilitates these connections primarily through its website and third-party communication platforms such as WhatsApp. By accessing the Rooffur website, joining a Rooffur community, contacting another member through Rooffur, or entering into a pet-care arrangement as a result of a Rooffur introduction, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Rooffur is not a pet boarding company, pet sitter, veterinary service, insurer, employer, agent, broker or payment provider. Rooffur does not itself provide pet-care services and does not take custody, possession, supervision or responsibility for any pet. Rooffur's role is limited to helping Pet Parents and potential Hosts discover and connect with one another. Any care arrangement is entered into directly between the Pet Parent and Host.

Users of Rooffur must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into agreements. Users are expected to provide truthful and accurate information when communicating with Rooffur or other community members. Rooffur may restrict or remove access for users who provide misleading information, behave inappropriately, endanger animals or other people, or otherwise violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines.

Pet Parents are solely responsible for deciding whether a Host is suitable for their pet. Before leaving a pet with another person, Pet Parents should personally speak with the Host, ask appropriate questions, understand the environment in which the pet will stay and, wherever possible, arrange a Meet & Greet. Pet Parents are responsible for providing complete and accurate information about their pet, including relevant information regarding temperament, aggression or bite history, escape behaviour, food requirements, allergies, medication, medical conditions, interaction with other animals or people and any other information that may affect the safety or care of the pet.

Hosts are solely responsible for deciding whether they are capable of caring for a particular pet. A Host should only agree to an arrangement if they reasonably believe that their home, experience, availability and circumstances are appropriate for the animal. Hosts are responsible for understanding the pet's routine and requirements and for making the Pet Parent aware of any information that could affect the arrangement, including other pets in the home, household members, property restrictions or any circumstances that may affect the pet's stay.

Rooffur strongly encourages Pet Parents and Hosts to meet before agreeing to a care arrangement. A Meet & Greet is intended to help both sides ask questions, meet the pet, understand expectations and determine whether they are comfortable proceeding. A conversation or introduction through Rooffur does not create any obligation for either side to continue with an arrangement. Both the Pet Parent and Host are free to decline at any time before an arrangement begins.

Hosts may choose to care for pets for free or may agree on a price directly with the Pet Parent. Rooffur currently does not process payments and does not take a commission from arrangements between Pet Parents and Hosts. Any price, payment method, deposit, refund, cancellation condition or other financial agreement is made directly between the Pet Parent and Host. Rooffur is not responsible for non-payment, payment disputes, refunds, cancellations, taxes, deposits or other financial disagreements between users.

Rooffur may use third-party services such as WhatsApp to help members communicate. These services are operated independently from Rooffur and are governed by their own terms, privacy policies and technical systems. Rooffur is not responsible for the availability, security or operation of third-party platforms or for private conversations that occur between users outside Rooffur-controlled spaces.

Rooffur does not guarantee that any Host, Pet Parent, home, pet or care arrangement is safe, suitable or trustworthy. Unless Rooffur expressly states otherwise, being part of the Rooffur community does not mean that a person has undergone police verification, criminal background checks, home inspection, professional certification, insurance checks or any other formal verification process. Users should conduct their own assessment before agreeing to any arrangement.

Rooffur does not supervise the care provided by Hosts. Once a Pet Parent and Host agree to proceed, they are responsible for defining and managing the care arrangement between themselves. This includes responsibility for the pet's routine, food, medication, supervision, emergency arrangements, veterinary care, transportation and any other requirements agreed between them.

Pet Parents and Hosts should agree in advance on what should happen during an emergency. This should include appropriate contact information, veterinary details, emergency contacts and expectations regarding veterinary treatment and expenses. Rooffur is not an emergency response service or veterinary service. If an animal or person is in immediate danger, users should contact an appropriate veterinarian, emergency service, police or other competent authority rather than waiting for Rooffur to respond.

If an incident occurs involving injury, illness, escape, loss or death of a pet, injury to a person, damage to property, theft, payment disputes or any other disagreement arising from a private care arrangement, the Pet Parent and Host remain responsible for addressing the matter between themselves and through appropriate authorities where necessary. Rooffur may review reports and take moderation action against community members, but receiving or investigating a report does not make Rooffur responsible for the underlying incident.

Users must not use Rooffur to harass, threaten, deceive, defraud or harm another person or animal. Users must not intentionally conceal material information about a pet or care environment, collect another person's information for improper purposes, distribute malicious content, impersonate another person, advertise illegal activities or use Rooffur to facilitate animal cruelty, unlawful breeding, animal trafficking or other illegal activities.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pet Parents and Hosts participate in Rooffur and enter into private care arrangements at their own risk. Rooffur will not be responsible for loss, damage, injury, illness, death, disappearance of a pet, property damage, financial loss or other harm resulting from the conduct of another user, the behaviour of an animal, information provided or omitted by another user, or a care arrangement entered into between users. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Rooffur may suspend or remove users from its communities if Rooffur reasonably believes they have violated these Terms, violated the Community Guidelines, endangered another person or animal, engaged in fraud or harassment, or otherwise acted in a manner that may harm the Rooffur community. Rooffur may take immediate action where there is a safety concern.

The Rooffur name, logo, website design and original content belong to Rooffur or its licensors and may not be copied or commercially used without permission. Rooffur may update these Terms as the platform evolves, particularly if features such as profiles, verification, bookings, payments or other services are introduced.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Rooffur's operating entity. The appropriate jurisdiction and dispute-resolution terms should be updated once Rooffur's legal entity and registered address are finalized.
